Hello everyone, I was just wondering if USMMA did an overnight stay like CVW. I seen a previous post about one but I don’t know if that’s for recruited athletes or LOA recipients. As just a normal applicant, what would my process be?

Thank you in advance

My DS is doing an overnight this week. Just wondering if anyone who has done one, has any advice on what he should pack/expect?

Bring a sleeping bag and pillow but put it in a bag he can schlep around. Perhaps a backpack. They’ll find a bare mattress for him to put on the floor. but I think that's about all they’ll find. Don’t overpack, because he will have to carry it on the tour. Someone did once mention a gift like homemade cookies for your plebe host is well received. Enjoy!

Thank you! He is looking forward to it.

Great advice so far. One thing I think is important to remind them is not to wear jeans. You were probably planning on that but just in case. I’m pretty sure to attend classes & the dinning hall they can’t be in jeans. We stopped at Trader Joe’s to pick up a few fun treats/snacks & put it all in a little bag. That went promptly into the “bottom drawer” once given to the person he roomed with ….Have a great visit!

Also bring something to do (studying/reading) while your sponsor mid or plebe is studying. Goodies are always welcome.

I slept on a spare bed, so bring a sheet and a blanket. It was cold in there. Some snacks for the mid is always appreciated
