VMI Application Question

Hello all,
So my counselor has informed me that she has mailed my secondary school report, transcript, and the recommendation letter as of last Thursday the 10/9. My question is that how will I know if VMI has received it? In addition, I have not yet sent in my application. Thanks.
 
Once you submit your application you will get access to your online portal where you can see which tasks are complete and which are missing. I would have suggested finishing the application first.
 
I'm actually holding off submitting my online application because I am waiting to see if I will be accepted into the National Honor Society, or should I just submit it?
 
I'm sure you can add other accomplishments and test scores as you get them in the coming months. My DS applied and was accepted to VMI, but I don't remember when he submitted his application. I'm sure it was received by admissions before his counselor submitted the school info. You could call VMI admissions and ask what they suggest.
 
things can be added to your application, the admissions office will start a file on the applicant and add to it as required. DS had several things accomplished after the application, he was an early applicant, that were taken into consideration. The first part of the process is getting the requisite paperwork in place and can be difficult as it requires other parties to do things. DS's guidance office kept stating 3 seperate recomendations had been sent off but were all eventually found still at the school. The on-line portal was very useful during the process for tracking the paperwork, as were the folks who work in the VMI admissions office.
