VMI Matriculation

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone could explain what the VMI Matriculation Fair is, and if anyone had any advice on packing? Thank you very much!
 
The Matriculation Fair is held in Crozet Hall in the upstairs part. There are booths with some local banks, churches, VMI Booster club I think, maybe local PD. Can't recall everything.

As far as packing, stick to the list VMI gives you. Also, maybe some Lysol, and Lysol wipes, hand sanitizer, bandaids, cold medicine.

Thank you very much for the reply! And I do have one follow up question. Are you supposed to buy the VMI bag ahead of time or when you get there and is it best to just purchase all academic supplies after matriculation on Post?
 
My son bought the bag ahead of time, but some bought it there. He also bought some basic supplies ahead like notebooks, pens, pencils, things he knew he would need for sure. The rest he got as he needed it.

Oh, bring an Ethernet cord, the internet tends to go to hell in a handbasket quite often.
