VMI ROTC

After I got into VMI, I decided to research ROTC possibilities there. However, I am unfamiliar with how to get started. I have enrolled in NROTC, but might switch to AROTC for the upcoming year. I want to do intelligence in the military, and I have currently selected my major as Arabic. How do I get started on the process for NROTC/AROTC? And does having Arabic as my major help my chances to get a contract?
