VP nom notification from USNA

DS received an email from USNA indicating the change to his application RE "VP Nom Request" a few weeks back. How should DS look into this ? Anyone receiving the same email ?

I believe so. DS did not get the same email from other SAs.

The USNA director of admissions told a group of us parents (at an admissions event) that the VP's office contacts the Academy about noms in February. My daughter got her Moc nom but has applied for VP too. Her portal says Moc nom, nothing about VP.

If unaware the VP essentially allows the SAs to tell the VP who to nominate.

I would speculate if you have another nomination from another source you will not get a VP nomination.

USNA selects for the VP. There are only 5, so obviously chances are very low for these. Most don't even know they received one unless they look at their Nom source once they are Mids.
