Wait For It...Wait For It! eesh

hsjude,

I'm so glad you have finally received word from CGA...look back at some of the old posts from last year...I remember several posters actually being appointed from the waitlist!

Congrats and good luck!!!!

fairwinds - thank you so much - we are truly thrilled. This whole SA process has helped our son mature and grow in so many ways (us parents too a bit). We believe he will end up where he is supposed to be. He also received a wait-list for NAPS today - so it's been a big day already and we look forward to the roller coaster ride ahead.

It's been such a nice experience on the forum - unlike many other forums it has been informative, positive and encouraging. Thanks for being a part of our journey.

... oi'm nawt dead yet ....

Nothing today in New York (not too far from NYC). Hope still lives! Any updates from Objee?

Wishing all you guys the best! I've decided to decline the CGA and accept the Naval Academy's appointment. So, those of you who are on the waitlist are probably glad to hear that!

Any updates from Objee?

I'm actually on the road this week...not sure what's going on back at CGA, but those final notification letters should have all been mailed on Monday. If you haven't gotten a phone call or received a letter by now, you're most likely on the waiting list, but anything is possible! I would recommend waiting until Monday (if you still haven't received a letter) to call your Admissions Officer since we're usually allowed to start giving/discussing statuses over the phone then.

Officer -
Congratulations to your family and especially your son! This is such an exciting time for our children! What life lessons they are learning through this whole process.

Thank you so much for the encouraging words. Ill tell you...if it wasnt for this forum, I might had been knee deep in wine by now...Its nice to know others are out there experiencing the same anxieties...with a sense of humor!

CO43 - Congratulations to you also! That had to be a very difficult decision!

Definitely, Keeping hope alive!!! :thumb:

Ok, today is the 15th and our post office is known to be a bit slow... can you tell me if the letters have all been sent out?

Congradulations to all those that have heard from the CGA and especially those receiving a BWE. I just found this site yesterday and it's been comforting to know that my son is not the only one still waiting on a response. He has Plan B locked down, but is quietly hoping for Plan A to come through. It's hard to believe that we began this process over a year ago, but patience is a virtue and maybe the academy is testing that quality in the last remaining applicants.

Hopefully, those in this last group that don't receive appointments will all be placed on the wait list for being soooo patient.

We're still waiting for the mail today and I hope that there is something from CGA in there because my son is off hiking in the wilderness for the next three days. I really don't want to be face to face with that mail for that long, and not know what's inside.

The waiting is very rough but it is nice to know we are not alone, we have been following the posts for the last month or so and received great information and insight. We are still waiting to hear about our son, just met the mail lady at the curb and nothing in Idaho. Soooo their is always tomorrow. Everyone keep the faith.

No News IS Good News

im not sponsored by CGA im just going as a SAP.. my enlistment is up so i thought i would give it a try and if i dont get in next year i will commision in the Army.

BM3 Miller,

Sorry it did not work out as soon as you would have liked. Many of us have been following your journey. Good things come to those who wait and especially to those who have your determination. I'd lay money that after nailing prep school, you'll be a lock for the class of 2015.

From what Objee said, it sounds like it. But that was unofficial: he's travelling. So there's a degree of uncertainty.

I'm in the same boat as you; I didn't receive a letter either.
