Wait-list Mailed Letters

Does the USNA Admissions Office send letters out for those on the wait-list? I want to surprise my parents and I need to know if I need to be on the lookout.
 
Possibly would be my best guess. USNA seems to have a disconnect between portal and snail mail updates- when my medical status changed it was over 2 weeks until I received paper-mail correspondence. I live in MD and received the WL notification last Monday- no letters as of yet.

I never received anything in the mail about my medical status change, which was a month ago. It's interesting to hear that they send out letters for some but not for all
 
If a portal says turned down but you email states " however there is a NWL of 150 " does that imply you are on NWL? So vague
