On my West Point portal, it shows that I have a green check mark next to anything. I submitted my videos about 2 weeks ago and I have not heard back anything so i assume it is good. I have also recently done my FFR interview and uploaded required documents such as proof of citizenship and my social security card. For USNA, everything is also showing up as well except medical qualification, however i am already qualified so I think that it is just them taking a bit to update it on their part. I have also done the BGO interview. My question is, as for my academy apps (meaning not regarding to noms or nom interviews) is there anything else I need to do? or is it just a waiting game from here on out?

prepare for nominations interview, practice on your own, with an older sibling, parent; prepare to answer why you want to attend, what challenges you have faced, honor code, what you want to major in, branch into, questions about community service as well as your SAT/ACT/transcripts. Good luck.

Were you born outside of the United States? Wondering why you uploaded your proof of citizenship and SS card.

Definetely ready for it. I feel like i do well with interviews. Only thing im scared about is my congressional interview asks about current events and topics. While I definetely do know about most current event topics military wise, I am unsure as to if they will keep it broad and ask about large pieces of news such as the recent hostage rescue, or ask very specific things that you need to research very deeply into.

They won't ask you too many current event questions since they don't want to get too political (nominations should be a non-political process) but the ones they may ask you would probably test your moral character.

Incorrect. I’ve seen many interview questions that deal with current events. It is very good to have some knowledge of what is going on in the world, especially as it relates to our military.

It can be informative and helpful to share first-hand experiences and anecdotes of elected representatives’ panel interviews, but there is no way to accurately determine if that is the same approach taken by several hundred Representatives and Senators, with turnover each year.
