Waiting List?

When the appointments are sent out in March, do a certain number of people get put on a wait list? (not that we can stand any more waiting!) I was just wondering if the only 2 options were an offer of appointment or a rejection. Thanks!
 
You have several possible scenarios:
1. Receive an appointment (BFE)
2. Receive a foundation scholarship or be appointed to the prep school
3. Receive a TWE that basically rejects you but says you may be considered
if a spot opens up, otherwise known as the wait list (happened to me last
year)
4. Receive the "thanks, but no thanks TWE

The waiting list means that you still have a chance, but it would be best to begin following through with Plan B at that point.
