Waiting on medical waiver

How long does it take to get a medical waiver approved? My son got his loa but it feels like it is taking a while to get it approved. Is there anyway to get a status update from someone? He emailed his admissions counselor that was assigned to him but hasn’t heard back from him yet either.

I received my medical disqualification on Jan 29th, and USNA started my waiver process shortly on Feb 6th. I received my waiver around Feb 18th. Mine could have moved really quickly because it was related to a minor case (no major medical intervention other than a round of antibiotics) of pneumonia that I got at the end of my first semester of college, and I just needed a doctor's note confirming I was fit to participate in military activities. I did not have an LOA but received an appointment in early April.

I would try to email the USNA Medical team, they were pretty responsive when I had questions.
