Waiting on VMI admissions decision. Any updates?

My DS applied to VMI and submitted the final pieces of his application around Thanksgiving. Besides ED, VMI has rolling admissions notifications, but he hasn't heard anything at all. His portal hasn't changed at all. Around our area, the mail has been running extremely late/missing/lost. Has anyone gotten their admissions decisions since 1 January 2021? If yes, how did you get notified?

DS applied to VMI regular decision on November 15 and received his notice of acceptance today January 13. Notice was mailed from Lexington on January 6.

Thank you for the response! Hopefully my DS will hear something very soon! Congrats on your DS' acceptance. Is VMI his first choice?

He really likes VMI a lot. He has been accepted to one other SMC and has applied to West Point and Naval Academy. Plus he will be boarded for AROTC scholarship this month and that may have some bearing on his decision. But it was a good day to get his acceptance. Congratulations to your DS on his 4 year scholarship and wish him well in making his decision.

Just wondering—did he also get an email notification? I applied to VMI but mail takes a few weeks to reach me (I'm overseas) and I rely pretty heavily on email.

DS received his VMI acceptance letter today in the regular mail! Application finished and submitted on 11/28/2020. Letter dated 1/14/2021. No official notification in his VMI portal, just a couple of updated items to give a hint that an acceptance was on its way.

I applied mid-November and heard back Dec 18. Don't be afraid to bother admissions with questions I found them to be helpful in speeding the process along.
