Good afternoon everyone,

I commented on another thread, but my admissions counselor informed me that all decisions have been disseminated. All of us on the waitlist, hope for a hail mary, expect an incomplete pass and move on to plan B.

I have heard anecdotal evidence that some have been notified a scant 5 days prior to I-Day and have actually pulled the trigger and showed up.

Talk about putting your life into a spin cycle. I cannot imagine the stress (or relief, I guess) involved. Right up until that "what have I gotten myself into?" moment, of course. :)

Our little ‘24 SAF W/L group (and now real life friend) had the last one pulled a scant TWO days before. And it all worked out. Some stuff wouldn’t be completed. But he reported, and is days away from becoming a firstie!!

One can read this many ways.

"All decisions have been disseminated." So your decision was "Waitlist." Others have "FQO," and others got NAPS (or NAPS waitlist), Foundation, or the dreaded TWE.

If you read the waitlist offer/announcement, it clearly says that if available, a candidate won't expect to hear from the waitlist until mid-May. We're just hitting that, in fact not until, next week.

I woild bet top dollar that they still have some decisions to finalize.

We shared a water taxi after IDay 2019 with a dad fro Alabama or Arkansas whose son got the call a week before. He hadn’t gone on family trip and that’s the only reason he was there for the call. I remember him saying his head was spinning with the last few days. Amazing to think! And now they will commission!!

And this morning, in the other thread, someone mentioned they received a FQO of appointment after their portal changed to CPR.

Now, where's my money! :p

Bottom line , its not over until its over, or until I Day --whichever comes first.
I would expect that most, if not all, decisions have been been made, but not necessarily disseminated.
Until Admissions has reached the desired Class size, some on WL will be held "just in case" and openings can happen right until I day.

Every class has a story about the kid who got the call the week, the day, the night, before I Day. It's actually a little fun to think about - Not to hijack this thread, but which would be worse --knowing you are attending USNA and worrying about I-Day and Plebe Summer for months, or getting yanked out of a relaxing summer 5 days before I Day and getting thrown right in to the fire ?

💯 agree with all of this!
