Last year I received a LOA to USNA, but had my waiver denied. I tried appealing it, but was told they usually don’t grant mental health waivers unless it’s been a year clear from treatment/last incident. It will be a year by now. Should I go to a doctor and get re-evaluated to show I am clear now, or is the fact that I haven’t had a reason to see a doctor be enough?

This is maybe something your admissions team can help with as far as answers. No one on here short of Mr. Mullen can give you a definitive answer for your question, but admissions will be honest with you as far as possibilities go. Just go into it understanding that the military has become pretty hesitant about granting mental health waivers, especially for operational types. Remember, the military is almost by definition "stressful", and if you had issues outside the military, especially a diagnosis with meds, it is going to be an uphill fight.

Also remember, there are other avenues to serve, the ABC Agencies for example may be another option.
