Good day,
Because I applied to the Air Force Academy, I have already completed my medical exams and have an active account with DoDMERB for AFROTC and AROTC, for both of which I have been awarded four-year scholarships. However, my current medical status is “Under Waiver Review” for both. Due to a prior injury, I know that I would require a medical waiver to qualify for ROTC. Is there any way of knowing when this waiver might be granted? I am asking because, as much as I would love to accept either scholarship (especially AFROTC), doing so would require me to forfeit other significant scholarship opportunities at other universities that do not host AFROTC, and, without the scholarship, I cannot afford the schools at which I would use it, and therefore am hesitant to accept it. I am hoping to have an answer regarding my waiver status before the deadline for accepting my other offers, which is April 23. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
