Waiver not considered if application incomplete?

I just submitted requested DoDMERB remedial for a condition that I believe will eventually be waiverable, however I have read that USAFA may not consider a medical waiver if the application is incomplete. I still have to take CFA, and will be taking a week from now. I know that the basis for waiver consideration is whether the applicant is "competitive," and I believe I am very competitive, 1520 SAT, various leadership positions and assorted activities, etc, as well as principal nom (although it has not showed up on my portal yet so idk if USAFA is aware). If DoDMERB were to deem me unqualified, say, tomorrow, without my application being complete, would I be done? I mean, USAFA has a lot of rules that I respect, although it seems a little crazy that they would not let me finish my application before deciding not to process a waiver on my behalf. I feel that they should still be able to see that I am competitive even before I take my CFA.

DoDMERB will either qualify or disqualify you based on current military standards. Their job is pretty black and white. I believe that you’ve been in touch with Mr. Mullen already so you know where you stand in that regard.

I don’t know how USAFA will deem if you are competitive or not, or how they will decide to pursue a waiver. There really isn’t much you can do about it except crush your CFA and get the results posted as soon as you can.

FACT: For all SAs, the Admissions Offices determine who will be considered for a medical waiver. Admissions determines if an applicant is "competitive for an offer of appointment." They can do so without a Nom; CFA/PFE (USCG) results; and even a complete application. It is based on whatever criteria they feel fits that applicant.

SUBJECTIVE: Obviously, applicants, want to from the date they start, move expeditiously and comprehensively to complete their admissions application. Procrastination in applying to any SA; ROTC program; or civilian college or university is the enemy!
