Waiver possible?

I got my scoliosis x-ray back and my lumbar curve is 25 and my thoracic is 31. Everywhere I've seen mostly is disqualifying is lumbar 20 and thoracic 30. The dodmerb letter sent to me through my correspondence says that disqualifying for both is 30, so that would mean my lumbar is fine?? And you shouldn't have above 30, but my thoracic is 31.

I want to know how possible it is to get a waiver with having just one degree over the limit. I have included in my letters to dodmerb that my scoliosis has not stopped me in any way athletically. I run 70 miles a week and plan on running D1 at the college I plan on attending, and also lift regularly; as well as did competitive cheerleading where I would regularly lift people and put mega strain on my back everyday (not little puny high school cheer). I'm hoping that my athletic side will help, but then again, my curves both grew at least 5 degrees each over the past two years combined (probably because of the extra pounding in running and straining from cheer). Not sure what they're looking for, or if there is any advice of anything else I can send in that would be helpful.

I'm automatically put in to look to see about getting a waiver because I'm a scholarship winner. If anyone else has any advice, I'm open to anything.
Also, how long does it normally take for them to get back to me about getting a waiver? My dodmerb technician is very short with me and doesn't like to explain anything :)

the x-ray was for my remedial by the way- I've sent in everything that they have asked me to. Now the waiting begins!

I'm in a very similar position. I have a 58 degree kyphosis and 55 degrees is the normal cut off for medical qualification. I am currently in the waiver process and the AROTC applicant portal says that it can take up to 3 months to get a decision by their waiver review board.
