Good afternoon all. I am a candidate for the USMA and the USNA. I have an LOA to the USMA and 2 nominations. I have been physically and academically qualified. on Jan 24th i was notified by the USMA that they were sending in a waiver request for me. Since then I have heard nothing back about additional testing or the status of my waiver. I am a little concerned because it has been almost 6 weeks. I was wondering if it is normal for them not to ask for any additional information for such a long time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure they need any additional information. You are DQ - like my son was - and the question is whether the SA wants to grant the waiver to you.

Other things like competition come into play, not necessarily remedial info.

Good morning
We are facing a similar situation, my DD received an LOA from USNA and a congressman nomination. After a DQ from DoDMERB she was informed that USNA will review for a waiver, however, they didn't request extra information and 4 weeks later she received an email saying that she is not medically qualified and USNA message is "we can't offer an appointment at this time". We sent letters from her doctors to DoDMERB and now the system says "under review" however we don't know if it will go again to USNA review.
We have no experience with this process and no experience applying to a military academy.
We really appreciate any input.
Her DQ is for vision. +8

See above. Comply with the FAST sticky on the thread and I am sure Mr. Mullen will happily assist the candidate.

RGMom and Knight1357. It is possible I may respond in the middle of the night or tomorrow from Annapolis. Thx for your patience...provided you applicants complied with the FAST sticky under the DoDMERB tab in SA Forums😁
