Hello all,
I am in an ROTC program and have been waiting on a waiver from a DoDMERB DQ since early autumn.
I know all the basics — i.e. waivers are primarily the domain of branch-specific medical authorities— and I have seen the stories online and in real life of people spending many months before finally getting a determination.
That being said, I have been wondering whether my case has likely moved through the system at all, or whether it has been sitting in a queue all this time without ever getting eyes on it yet. It would be very relieving to have some sense at all of what is happening with my chances of having a future in the armed forces.
Is there some sort of contact information for waiver authorities, like there is for DoDMERB, that I am just not looking in the right place for? Or are these offices intentionally left relatively anonymous… Unfortunately my cadre seem to not have much information for me and it is frustrating being in the dark.
