My son received a loa from the Navajo academy. His medical waiver is under review. They asked for more information which he gave to them. How long does it take to get a waiver approval?

I would not say 2 weeks is accurate. I have an LOA but have waited for a month now, but no answer. I have a couple friends who have been waiting for 2 months plus.

uh I wasn't saying that as a general answer...... I said FOR ME it was 2 weeks

The time depends on case complexity and how many cases are in the review queue.

My DS received an LOA in September and his medical waiver got approved mid-March. It was a long wait.

Most likely before, yes. Your son should fill out the PTR, but be ready for a turndown until a waiver goes through.

I don’t think that’s necessary. It’s an item meant for apointees. I wouldn’t advise mine to spend time on this, unless appointed.

If USNA wanted LOA holders to compete the PTR, they would send them instructions to do just that.

Every year there are later appointments. And they get their stuff done.

Oh, sorry, my bad for the incorrect statement then! Yes it’s a lot! I’m guessing those that are on the WL/waiting for waivers have different deadlines for PTR items then?

They should follow instructions given to them by USNA.
