Wanna know about the spicy life of a 4-deg?

Who was "that guy (or gal)" during your basic and why?
sorry for the hella late response. I don't want to call out "that guy" by name, but sometimes during basic, seeing the dumb stuff & funny stuff he did was the only thing throughout the day that wasn't hell. Our cadre would be giving their angry, yet heartfelt speech about the importance of sacrifice and etc, and once there would be a silence in the air, you would hear a loud, prolonged fart. There was also a time where one of our cadre was literally losing her voice from screaming at us for 10 minutes straight, proceeded by "that guy" walking to the other side of the hallway for literally no reason. When the cadre asked "What are you doing?!," he simply replied, "Walking across the hallway, ma'am" in the most monotone voice. At that point, we all fought to hold back our laughter, and then, to our surprise, the cadre couldn't hold back her laugh. Here we thought that this cadre was unbreakable, only to be broken by walking across the hallway and then saying so.

What’s the spiciest part about being a doolie
The spiciest part of being a doolie is spending the entirety of the night, no sleep at all, doing homework you thought was due the next day, only to realize that it's not due for another few days. A close second would be the spicy italian sausage they serve at mitches

This is too true

Class time runs from 7:30-3:38 broken up by Lunch and M-5s if we have them. Nobody actually takes classes for that whole period of time though and doolies usually hang in the library in between the classes they do have. Homework depends on class level and time management, I usually keep it around 3-4ish hours so in the early classes at least it's not that bad. For free time there can be squad activities like front porch thursdays, volleyball, or you can go to the gym or something. Each squadron also has an activities room that usually has a ping pong table and other stuff.

Thank you, that is a lot lighter than I have ever had in High School. But I'm sure the classes will be far harder with much more homework to make up for it.

How many hours a day are you usually in class, studying, or doing homework? And what do you guys do during your free time (if you have any)?

DS has a "light" class load on M- days, only 2 classes, finished by 9:30am. He uses those days to schedule other training activities, flying hours, homework and studying until 4pm, when he goes directly to Sabre team practice, dinner at 6 after practice, and then more homework/studying/training depending on squadron requirements and maybe a club meeting at 7 once or twice a week. He's usually in bed by 10.

T-days are a different story...4 classes and a lab, beginning at 730 and finishing at 3:38, with a short break mid-morning, then straight to Sabre practice, dinner, etc in the evening.

Shorter "go periods" will be added later in the semester on M-days for Leadership and PE. Those only meet for a total of 10 classes, so about 4 weeks each.

There are many other training requirements/briefings each week in addition to academics, especially for doolies.

That is a bit closer to what I was expecting, thank you for the information.
