Weight Question

Are athletes who have to put on weight (lineman in football) exempt from the body fat rule during the exam. If they are close are there exceptions, as I know that the line is 24% but are the rules changed for athletes? Thanks in advance.
 
I'm fairly certain that if you're over the maximum weight they look at your body fat percentage, but that has to be within, I believe, 24% - no exceptions
 
From what I've been told form USAFA cadets: the linemen on their football team sign a form stating that, at the time of commissioning they will meet the height and weight standards. To my knowledge this would not be available for say, a high school football linemen who isn't going to play for USAFA.
