Welcome Aboard 2026 USS Constitution

[Don't Give Up the Ship]

Last night a Welcome Aboard event was held at the USS Constitution Museum in Boston. 19 incoming 2026 and there parents were guests of the USNA Parents Association of New England. USNA grad speakers included a former SEAL and Operations Officer from the Constitution. USAA sponsored the event for the approximately 80 persons in attendance. Five Midshipman formed a panel to answer questions from the new candidates. The evening wrapped up with colors and all were welcomed onboard the oldest commissioned ship in the Navy. Great to see these Midshipman salute the Ensign while boarding this historic ship. This video was not from last night, but highlights what it was like.

Son was commissioned aboard the USS Constitution. It was a great day. Amazing how steep that gangway gets with the tide.

It was great to see the plebes-to-be together! It was a nice event that could have used 20°, a little less wind and a beautiful colorful sky. Mother Nature better kick in gear because it’s summer!!!!
