Are there time standards a female has to hit in order to be on the XC/Track team at USMA? I know there is for USAFA, but is the same true for USMA? If not, can anyone run?
I’m sure there are but you should still inquire about walk on options or the ability to practice with the team and compete at local meets but possibly not travel with them. Someone had told us that might be possible. Good luck! Are there time standards a female has to hit in order to be on the XC/Track team at USMA? If I am interested, when should I start contacting the coach?I’m sure there are but you should still inquire about walk on options or the ability to practice with the team and compete at local meets but possibly not travel with them. Someone had told us that might be possible. Good luck!
My son started contacting coaches his junior year, both D3 and D1. His marks are not D1 level. Some D1 coaches don’t reply at all. Some reply with the standards for a walk on tryout. A West Point volunteer assistant coach told him that he’d likely be able to practice with the team and compete at local meets but not travel with them. I’m not sure if you are a class of 2025 or 2026 applicant or if you’re already appointed? If I am interested, when should I start contacting the coach?
I also had this question and this is the set of times I was given as a baseline to run at USMA!Are there time standards a female has to hit in order to be on the XC/Track team at USMA? I know there is for USAFA, but is the same true for USMA? If not, can anyone run?
