What are my Chances? From MD?!

STANDARDIZED TESTS-
Your SAT scores are solid but definitely take the SAT again. Take it as many times as you can until the deadline in Feb 2014. West Point superscores which means that they use the best score from each subsection every time you test, so there is no penalty to taking the test multiple times.
Also - take the ACT. You may do better on the ACT than the SAT but you won't know unless you try. West Point will evaluate you on the standardized test that you score best on so there is no penalty to taking both the ACT and the SAT.
SAT/ACT scores are very important in the academic portion of your file. So take both tests more than once.

SPORTS-
Varsity letters in 4 sports - excellent!
If you were to be captain in one or more of those sports your senior year - even better.

NOMINATION-
Your best shot for a nom is with your Congressman. With your Congressman, you are competing with only those in your district v. the whole state with your Senators.
Apply for all noms that you are qualified for which at a minimum is 4 - your Congressman, your 2 Senators and the VP.
If you are curious about the competitiveness of your district, talk to your FFR. While that fact is interesting to know, you shouldn't get all caught up in it as there is nothing you can do about the competitiveness of your district.
Focus on YOUR file. Tweak your SAT scores. Take the ACT. Apply for all 4 noms. Shoot for being captain of one or more of your sports. Good luck :thumb:

Thanks a lot, I will be adding a few more things to my file when senior year starts.
