What should a woman know before going to BUD/S?

I'm also sure it is not a badge of honor that is advertised by most. The type of person who even shows up to attempt to become a frogman likely is not going to tell the average person "Hey I rang the bell." Most that are medical drops are given opportunity to recycle if they wish to give it another shot.

Context for relayed “facts” is important too. I suspect regardless of gender, BUDs training yields a higher injury rate than other Navy physical training pipelines, especially in stress fractures and bone breakage.

Someday, there will be a woman who meets all the criteria for a universal standard, has the grit and physical ability, and the willpower and drive to not ring the bell. We just have to wait.
