Hello all. Currently filling out the DODMERB medical history survey, and was asked if I have or ever had heart trouble/heart murmers. When I was a few years younger, I noticed that my heart rate was higher than my peers. I brought this concern to my parents, who then brought me to a cardiologist to ensure that there was no problem. The cardiologist gave me a full workup, and assured me that I was perfectly healthy and that there was no problem. This visit, however, is on my medical record. Am I in danger if I say no to this question, or will DODMERB come after me for not saying yes due to the visit.

I would say there is no issue to report since the doc gave you a clean bill of health . . .

Going to the doctor because you think you have something doesn't need to be reported

The doctor verifying you do have something is reportable . . .

Agreed.

I knew a guy who had a panic attack once, who mistook it for a heart attack (having had neither before).
Man - he felt silly for going to the ER - but it was the right thing to do. He is now panic/heart attack free.
It turned out that the panic attack was due to his impending wedding. He's okay now (and still married). ;)
