When should athletes start contacting coaches?

For athletes who want to play a sport at the Academy (football) when did athletes first reach out to the coaches. Is March of 10th grade year too early?

You could fill out their questionnaire on X (twitter) at any point I would think. My son started getting recruited at the end of his Junior year for football by USMMA. He had two seasons of varsity football on Hudl before he took visits to any college programs.

Go to USMMA Sports - click on Football and on the right their will be a note for RECRUITING. Click on this and fill out. Also when
you are a junior - contact one of the football coaches or better yet arrange a visit.
