I am thrilled to have recently earned a nomination for USMA. I do, however, still have a lot to do on my application. The application deadlines that I've seen are all for February 28. I could finish in January, but I also could take all the time in perfecting my app. Is there an advantage to submitting the app earlier than that? Is there a certain date of submission that the reviewers split applicant into?

Thank you in advance for any responses.

From everything I've been told sooner is better. My outreach officer pushed me to finish my application back in September/October. They said do it as soon as possible, but make sure that it is also qualtiy work.
Hope that helped

Earlier is better. It shows commitment and motivation when you finish early. But, it is too late to show that dedication and motivation. I finished my application in August and I know a lot of the people on this forum did the same. You need to get on it ASAP because if something goes wrong (don't qualify medically, don't pass the CFA etc.) there is almost no time to fix it and the admissions officers are already working overtime, so you will get very little one on one time with your rep to fix such issues. I don't mean to sound rude or discouraging, but you need to finish the application ASAP.

Thank you for the bluntness - your responses really help. I am incredibly late in doing the CFA, DoDMERB, and candidate statements, but I will be sure to get on them ASAP.

Good luck with your appointments!
