I logged on to dodmerb.tricare.osd.mil and noticed that they received my physical/eye examinations on the 6th of December. How long does it take to hear if I am qualified?

By the way, I completed my final exam on November 23rd if this helps at all. Thanks in advance!

It's different for every case. A lot of it depends on DoDMERB's case load right now (I am guessing they have a lot going on with holidays coming up). DoDMERB received my exam November first, they reviewed and disqualified me November fifth, USMA requested my waiver the next day, and I officially received my waiver December third (the letter was dated November 27th). But, as I said, the process is different for everyone.

DoDMERB

Hi
For my DS I also could not figure why it was not showing up on the site. I at last called and they told me that the fax received from the physician had not come through as 100% readable. But also it was clear that no one asked the physician to re-fax it either. So I called the physician and requested it be re-faxed and then called DoDMERB to be sure it was there and readable. It still took them four more days to get it posted. But I wonder how long it would have been if I had not got on the phone and followed it up on both ends by myself?
Regards
John

I received notice via the online website that I was medically qualified! I am posting just as a time reference...only about a week after it appears online do they notify you.

I believe it really depends on each individual case, as was stated above. I completed my exams on November 12 and my information was entered into DoDMERB's system around December 4, but I have not heard anything and my status still says "Under DoDMERB Review." I have a potentially disqualifying medical condition in my medical history, so that may be why my review process is taking longer. Anyways, congratulations on being medically qualified and good luck in the rest of your application process!

Likewise, best of luck! I do agree, it will vary from applicant to applicant, since there are so many variations in the medical exam results.
