Where to get my nomination?

Hello all,
I received word a few days ago that I was accepted into both West Point SLE and USNA summer seminar and plan to apply to both academies. My only problem is I still have no clue how my nomination process will work because of my circumstances. My dad is in the Marine Corps and we move around quite a bit. I know I will qualify for a presidential scholarship but I am just trying to get an idea about the congressional nominations at this point. When I apply, I will be living in NC but my dad is a New Hampshire resident and my mom is a Virginia resident. Will I apply to the MOC of the district I am living in or the ones my parents are from. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You should apply to the Congressman and Senators for where you live--unless you are assigned overseas, then it is for your parent's home of record.
As for the Presidential, it is worth noting that the requirements are well explained on the USNA admissions page--they have a sample letter--you do the same for USMA.

Best wishes.

Congrats on your acceptance to the summer programs! As a military dependent you are in the unique position of getting to choose which parent’s state of residency you can apply through, and in this case you should choose NH. VA is typically uber competitive so you should definitely go for NH. Best of luck with your application process!
