I am entering my senior year as an Army ROTC cadet. My top preferences are MI, MP, AR, but honestly, I am still not entirely sure. While I would like to compete for Active Duty, It wouldn't be the end of the world if I did not get it. I would appreciate any tips on what it is like to be an officer in one of the above branches, and what skills would be prudent to have. I have a strong GPA and PT. I could definitely improve my leadership skills and tactical knowledge a bit. Is it essential to have a strong background on infantry tactics for such branches? Also, what are the major differences in what you do as an Active Duty officer, vs. Reserve? I understand one is full time, one is part time, but are you still doing the same tasks, more or less?
