Here’s the scenario. DS medical information in DoDmerb said medically qualified on 1/5/24. It still has not updated in his portal. He has emailed team silver many times with varying responses, mostly to reach out to the help desk which he had done multiple times. The help desk says they send files daily to USAFA and if his file has not updated in his portal that it’s likely an issue for USAFA. Today, AGAIN he reached out to team silver, they referred him back to the help desk. It just keeps going in circles with no update to his portal for the medical! He is getting very concerned about this as everything says medically qualified and he wants to be sure USAFA knows it!
 
That must be very frustrating! But I don’t think it will hold up an appointment. My son was not medically cleared when he got his appointment conditional on medical. And others get appointments but still need waivers.

I hope he hears soon, and that it’s an appointment!

Thank you! We were not sure if that would hold up an appointment or not. Thank you for responding.
 
Update: After 53 days, many emails, being told all is fine, etc etc… DODmerb and USAFA finally realized his medical had not made its way to USAFA in some error and in less than 24 hours he has received an email back that his medical is fully qualified and in his portal🎉 While it’s not an appointment, we’re happy to see this part of the process finally complete!
