Who to report to?

Hello, I accepted my appointment to the usna a few days ago, and as I accepted, a message popped up that said it was my responsibility to report any changes in my status, (medical, conduct, etc.) To the usna. I got a ticket for a traffic violation a month and a half or so ago, and even though my BGO said I didn't technically need to report it, I still sent an email to my admissions counselor explaining the situation. He never responded back.

To add onto this, I looked at the police background check forms that we need to have sent in, and minor traffic violations are included on the check. I sent in another email to my admissions counselor a few days ago, but still havent gotten a reply. I'm not too concerned about it, but I just want to make sure that the information reaches the right person and it doesn't look like I'm trying to hide anything, because I'm not.

So my questions are, was my admissions counselor the right person to email about this, or is there a different person I need to get in contact with?
Also, if I don't make contact with someone declaring this before I have my background check sent in, could this result in getting my offer of appointment pulled? Again, I'm not really concerned about it because I have an otherwise clean record and my BGO said a single traffic offense wasn't a big deal. Thanks for your time!

Absent some other direction specifying who to report to, your email to the Admissions Counselor should be sufficient. He/she probably didn't respond because they didn't think it was material or important. If the Police check asks for traffic violations, report it...and if (highly unlikely) anyone asks why it wasn't reported before , you have your email to Admissions a back up.

Bottom line, don't sweat it ... you aren't the first person to check into USNA with a "traffic record." Keep in mind, you were offered an Appointment because USNA wants you to attend -- they aren't looking for ways to take that away.

Good news! Thanks for your response.

Bravo Zulu @Old Navy BGO . That's some of the most reassuring advice I have ever read on SAF.
