M y daughter got the pretty pink stone in her ring, it cracked just a few months after it was out of warranty, within a few years of graduation.I'm not sure what she has decided to do yet. The funny thing wasabout her gorgeous wedding ring, custom designed, with a lovely large stone plus other diamonds given to her by a family member . She called and said, " Mom, my horse stepped on my ring! "I of course was horrified, me, " yes but what about your hand?" She replied that she had taken it off and put it in her pocket, and of course it fell out while she was riding..The amazing thing was being in Florida there was a business of retirees using detectors to find metal. So they hired someone to find it , buried under all the footing in the arena. I guess it was in many small pieces. I encouraged her to get her to have something a little practical, so she wouldn't need to remove it all the time She just wears a gold band now...so much for two really nice rings...
