(1) If you can afford the Ipad w/ GPS capability, you will be able to track it in the event it is lost or stolen at USMA (where rampant theft has been an issue this year - wallets, iphones, ipads, uniforms and textbooks have all been fair game as reflected on the West Point Moms fb page) - the beds have lockable storage bins - use them and bring a good lock.
(2) You will have time to play xbox games - however, you will need to decide if your time is wisely spent on the xbox or studying. Several plebes and yuks were separated after the Fall semester based upon academic performance, and I wonder how many would like to take back the hours spent watching movies, playing on a game console, or on yik yak, fb, twitter.
