Hi! I am from NJ. I applied to all my available nomination sources, e.g. Both Senators, District Congressman, and VP. I had my senator interviews just under two weeks ago and will be having my District Congressman interview next weekend. I was just curious as to if i will be notified if i don't receive a nomination? And if so, will it be at the same time the people who got a nomination find out? I am pretty confident that I will get one, but am just wondering that if I don't, will I be waiting in limbo forever just wondering what happened.

Thanks for the help!

This won’t be much help - Senators and Representatives may conduct their process any way they wish, as long as they submit their slates of up to 15 nominees to the SAs by their deadline and use one of of the specified ordering methods. That means:
- they can choose to not nominate at all or nominate whatever number less than or equal to 15 on a slate
- website guidance
- submission deadlines to them
- required application materials
- interview or no interview
- criteria used
- duplicate names across slates or not
- notification of nom or not
- notification of appointment or not

My Congressman (both years, now) has sent a letter indicating that I did not receive a nomination. I have not yet heard from my Senators and do not entirely recall whether or not I received a letter from either last year, but I don't think that I did. As @Capt MJ said, MoCs each conduct their process a little differently, and one of those differences is whether or not they notify applicants who do not receive a nomination.

As an FYI more than anything, some nom sources publish their candidate lists. Our Senators do. You can go to their website and do a search of Service Academy Nominations in their pressers. Or a general Google search.

Good luck to you!
