How are the applicants notified when a decision is made?
Thanks!!!They will get an email directing them to log in to their Bears Den account.
Strange...like I had mentioned in another post, I don't really think my DS in any type of Superstar that they would necessarily be proactively targeting. I'm going to attribute his being awarded early as a recognition of the good looks and rapier wit of his old man! Or maybe they need an Old Ag around to "stir the pot" a little at family events. Here is what DD said:
Very few appointments were awarded yesterday. She and above people got calls because there was someone at USCGA who proactively wanted to tell them, whether AO or other. Others in that small initial group may not know until Bears Den is updated, which may or may not even be today.
DD submitted application 09/01. Everything, including interview was uploaded by 09/26. Cyber Systems 1, Management 2
Very, very, very, very few appointments as of yesterday.
They told as at AIM and Bears Day last month that they would call first. If there was no answer, they would follow up with an email. It doesn't seem like any notifications thus far have been out of the ordinary or outside of what was expected. We took that to mean that everyone who applied early action would receive a phone call. Here is what DD said:

Thanks HCopter. Good to know, but DD looking at Plan B as much more realistic now. I've heard before that 10% post on SAF. Five posted results from yesterday, yielding possibly 50 appointments. Only a percentage of the average class of 300 comes from EA. I'm not sure what that percentage is.@TexasAggie204 , you are too humble!
I didn't say these early admits were superstars, my DD's appointment is no different that the people appointed on May 1st or even after. I am simply reporting that the information provided to my DD was a certain number which was extremely low were granted appointments yesterday, and that her Bears Den would be updated either today or tomorrow. The point being yesterday was not a mass wave and that no news does not necessarily mean bad news.

Those who are rejected will in all likelihood NOT receive a phone call. That's the way it has always been in the past. They told as at AIM and Bears Day last month that they would call first. I didn't take it that way...more than anything else, my wife and I are trying to figure out our son's EA. We've been thru this before and this situation (with this particular kid) has been a little bit surprising to us. His older sib's have always told us that we underestimate the one that got his acceptance yesterday. Could they have been right all these years??? Naaah...@TexasAggie204 , you are too humble!

I bet! Congrats! My eyes just teared up reading this!!!My son initially got a phone call from his AO (which he could not answer), then he received an email to return the call. When he was able to return the call during his school lunch period, he was welcomed to the USCGA Class of 2024 by his AO. Best call ever...
