When I mentioned to my dentist that NAPS had extracted my son's wisdom teeth, he left me in his chair -- my mouth propped wide open -- to check son's pre-NAPS x-ray. Came back muttering, "I just can't believe his teeth changed that much." (Must have had a boat payment due.)
If there is ANY chance your kid needs wisdom teeth out, do it @ home. Son's NAPS friends were great in looking after him during recovery, but it was tough, mostly on his mother, hearing that he was very uncomfortable w/ limited pain med's, hungry but unable to eat, etc.
Probably good pre-USNA training (he's a 2/C now) but I don't recommend it, and neither would my son.
