Yes i took trig in high school. I did decent. I think i finished the year with an 87 overall. The biggest difference between my math classes in high school vs in college was that i was able to use a calculator in high school.

Admittedly I come from an era of slide rules and personally I think the use of calculators are in large part a shortcoming of the education system today. Having said that I’m surprised that the lack of a calculator may be the reason behind your struggles. In the course you are having trouble with, what for instance would you use if you needed the functions of an angle of say 53 deg.?
