My son has WPW and wanted to join the cadets at VA tech with hopes of going in the Air Force. However he had an ablation 8 years ago and it was unsuccessful He however has shown no symptoms in 8 years and is low risk. He has abnormal EKGs so I was wondering if his condition automatically disqualifies him from going into the Air Force? He wanted to know before he signed up for the cadets...

I am not sure if WPW is a someting the AF could issue a waiver for.

Remember DoDMERB issues a DQ, but depending on the condition and how recent symptons occured, the program (Air Force in this case), can opt to issue a waiver.
