I am a junior at a competitive high school (about 650-700 per class). I was just looking for some feedback on my application. Here are my achievements:

4.56 gpa (3.98 unweighted)--I have taken a ton of college, AP, and honors classes and have gotten 1 B ever
Ranked 2nd unweighted GPA and 15th weighted
Score of 5 on the APUSH AP Test
27 ACT (took it when I was sick so I know I can improve upon this area tremendously)
Varsity letter every year of high school for xc, indoor + outdoor track
Leader of my xc and track teams
Student council member freshman year
NHS member
Leader of the youth group at my church
Member of a club where I lead a group of freshman and help them transition to high school
Volunteer to train service dogs
Played piano for 12 years and was part of the top band at my high school
Member of National Leadership organization through a local school I take college classes out of

I was just wondering if there were any areas I should change/improve on for senior year and what my chances of getting appointed to USMA would be. Thanks!!

Seems like an excellent baseline. Your ACT score almost certainly will need to come up more. Maybe consider taking the SAT as well. Continue to work on expanding your leadership opportunities - team captain, student council leadership position, etc. Make sure you work on being well rounded in fitness, not just an outstanding runner. Start practicing early for the CFA. Best of luck to you.

Pretty good GPA. Make sure you keep it up!

Only thing that may hold you back is this ACT score. Make sure you keep improving.

Good EC. Make sure you keep showing leadership in all areas!

Only thing I have to say is remain competitive in all areas: Academically, Physically, and as a leader. Good luck!

As long as you get your ACT up to at least 30, you're definitely considered a pretty highly competitive candidate. Now of course this is based on just the quantitative stuff, there's plenty more that candidates do to stand out at interviews, candidate statements, and recommendations.
