I'm a rising high school senior applying to the Naval Academy. According to the DoDMERB, I'm under the minimum weight. There is no mention of procedure for underweight candidates. I'm 5'10" and 118lbs. I'm a varsity wrestler and am in excellent physical shape. On the CFA, I did extremely well, maxing out several portions. The reason is I have an extremely lean build and have an exceptionally low body fat %. I lift/work out regularly and eat plenty but I am not able to put on much weight! Often people my height and weight are "skinny fat" and are physically unfit. This is simply not my case.

Will I need to apply for a waiver, or will this be waived/settled at my DoDMERB physical?

    Thank You,
    A Nervous Candidate
