Actually two pepto bottles in and I blame Clarkson for this. Today has been interesting to say the least. Good luck to everyone.
Please note the folks at CC are doing the inputting on all of the status updates.... In addition to that they are...
1) Taking care of the candidates that were boarded on the first board ( including but not limited to medical issues, medical waivers, moral/admin. waivers)
2) CULP and other programs for current ROTC members.
3) Medical waivers for current ROTC members wanting to go to AA or Airborne schools
4) Pay issues for current ROTC members including but not limited to book money, stipends, scholarship payments.
5) Keep in mind they also are dealing with LDAC being moved from Washington the Ft. Knox
:
Just to clarify...the scholarship processors only work on scholarship applications. They do not deal with 2-5 on Sheriff's list. There are other sections at CC (usually less well manned than scholarship processing) that deal with Pay, CULP, Cadet Actions...
That doesn't mean they aren't busy, and working as fast as they can.
Some food for thought while we wait-
1269 applicants were boarded second round
675 applicants should receive offers
All of them will receive an offer to 1 of their top three choices
Don't know when the emails will start flowing, but I'm sure someone will let us know. I'll let you all know when the ROOs are weapons free...which means we have permission to contact our winners.

Over 50%, not bad.
I have been away from my computer all day -- imagine my surprise to see this 11-page thread.
DS's status is still "Boarded." Is it a good sign that there is a message on our answering machine from 2:42 pm today from someone in the AROTC department at his #3 listed school? The message is that this person wants to followup with DS on the 4 yr scholarship he applied for and talk to him.
I remember reading that scholarships are awarded by one committee, then sent to another committee for school selection. Based on the above message we received, it sounds like #3 school was given the info immediately and is following up to find out DS's interest. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Is 1269 the number that was on the total OML or is that just a number the 2nd board looked over?
Yes, but that percentage would only be for those boarded in the 2nd round - but if you include those applicants from the 1st round that are on the OML, I believe the number would come down to about 20-25%.
I took it to mean the total number of applications that were boarded for the second board. In other words, I think it included the leftovers from the 1st board, plus the new applications that came in in time for the 2nd board.
I don't think so, the numbers would be way off. From what Clarkson indicated in an earlier thread, roughly 2000 were seen by the first board, with about 260 offers. So the "leftovers" from the first board would be about 1740. This "leftover" number alone is more than what Clarkson said was boarded for the second board - 1269.
Oooh, yeah, that would make sense. If that's the case, I wonder why he worded it that way?
I think he worded it correctly. "Boarded" means that the applicant is being scored by the board of PMSs. My DD was already "Boarded" by the first board, so she is on the OML; in other words, she was not "Boarded" at the second board - her application wasn't reviewed again as it was already scored by the first board.
Surprisingly, the largest OML occurs on the final board.
