My DS is still wating on hearing from the Naval Academy but we do know now what his plan B is. He has been accepted into Marion Military Institute in Marion, Alabama. Excited about what lies ahead. In the mean time...... we continue to stalk the mailman.

Looked on DS portal yesterday and he has got another nomination. YAY!!! Not sure which senator it is, just says Senator 2. So we are 3 Q'd with 2 nominations and we will continue to stalk the mail lady. Anyone else from Alabama heard anything???

DS got word that he has recieved a nomination. We are 3Q'd so now we just wait, and wait and wait.....

My DS got word this morning that he recieved a Congressional Nomination. YAY!!!!! Now one last step to go.

DS got a letter today saying that the Navy had gone over his things and he is scholastically qualified. So now he is 3 Q'd. Yay!!! All his packets except the VP are in, so now we wait....and wait.... and wait! Does anyone know if there is a way (without calling the academy) to know when...

I have read alot on these boards, but I don't think that I have seen anything about what the summers are like at the Academy. Do you get time to go home and visit or is it all business?
