It's told from the point of view of a cadet in the class of 1959 as he tells his friend abut the Academy. It's really interesting to look back at the Academy of 65 years...

I have another question pertaining to women in the military that has been bugging me for some time. At USMA, are all the combat branches closed to the women, or is it just the big three (Infantry, Armor, Artillery)? Sorry to hijack the thread, hopefully this will be answered quickly:redface:

How is the military training there? Like what kind of stuff do you do, and how much do you do during the school year? Is it mostly flying stuff, and do you do skydiving/gliding during basic? I heard that wasn't until second year, but I'm not sure. I'm not exactly eager to do skydiving :eek:

Not entirely sure about this, but I'm pretty sure that orienteering would count some, and I'm almost entirely certain that they count club/intramural sports, so if you've been playing soccer for a while you'll probably be okay. If you're still worried, than see if you can fit a school sport in...

YES!!! Sorry, unrelated but I'm so happy we'll be getting snow this year. Anyway, on topic, I hope nobody's plans get messed up, it would really suck to miss the Army-Navy game AND get stranded somewhere because of the snow. Here's luck to any travelers! :thumb:

Um, this is kind of a question for the girl cadets, so I hope it doesn't bother any of the guys. :redface: I was just wondering if girls were required to wear tampons at West Point or during Beast. I hate tampons, they're a huge pain to use IMO, so I was hoping we could wear pads instead.

This seems like the place ask about CAP, so here's my question: How long does it take for CAP to reply? On the website I applied for information about groups near my area more than a week ago, more like a week and a half. Is it because of Thanksgiving, or am I just being impatient?

I read that one of the requirements of getting into West Point is to take one year of US History. Well I took it last year in eight grade and I think I got a B or a C in it. Does that count or do I have to take it again in High School? I hope not, because I'm not sure my school offers it. And...
