TBAS is only for cadets going up for a rated board (300s). AFOQT is for 200s and will also be used for non-rated cadets when they go up for their AFSC.
~ For cadets trying to go rated the TBAS will be used instead of their AFOQT when they meet the rated board. When you go to take the TBAS they will ask you to bring your flight log book. That is why zero said get in some flight hours.
~~ I have never heard of 200s taking the TBAS. I am not saying that it doesn't occur, but in my opinion it would be foolish to take it unless they have a PPL.
Either way it doesn't matter for you because you need to take the AFOQT.
The EA board is pretty simple from an algorithm perspective. Each subsection will be a certain percentage of the WCS. They add up the points for your score. HQ AFROTC than says we have X amount of slots and draw a line. Above you go, below you don't.
~ Thus even a small bump up in your cgpa can be placing you above the line.
I do agree with zero, you are flirting at a dangerous level, not only for SFT, but one year from now as a 300 you will be meeting the rated board and that cgpa will be on your back again.
Right now there is nothing you can do, and it would be foolish for anyone to say yea or nay because last year in the end it was 91% selection rate, the year before that it was 58% overall. Nobody knows what HQ is going to say that they need from a manpower aspect in 2018.
