My DS received a letter today from USNA acknowledging that he had applied for a Vice Presidential Nomination, and that he needed to insure that his file was complete by March 1. I assume this is just sent to all applicants who applied for the VP nomination.
My question is, how does DS know if USNA has 3Q'ed him? Does the Naval Academy send notice like West Point does? He did receive notice from DODMERB that he has been medically qualified for USNA but unlike USMA, he has received nothing from the USNA that indicates he has been "qualified." Can one of the BGO's or other candidates shed some light on this?
Per the portal, it appears that his file is complete as everything has dates filled in, including a date reflecting his 7th semester transcript and the date for his CFA. He did recently ask his school counselor to send a note to validate a couple of additional changes to his Candidate Record (date on file is from Aug 31) including a Varsity Letter earned in Cross Country and the fact that he is the Student Representative to the School Board this year. That date does not show an update and I suggested he contact both admissions and his counselor, and have her just send an email due to the close timing.
Thanks for any input. The knowledge I have gained here has been tremendous. Wish I had found this forum a year ago.
