I might request to transfer it to Notre Dame as I have already gotten in there and I doubt I'll get into UT Austin as an out of state student.

Happy Christmas to you, @smokey% ! Big congrats! And my out of state son was accepted to UT Austin a few weeks ago and then into one of the Honors programs, so it's definitely possible!

Lol. Just had to fix where my scholarship was placed. It said Texas A&M for some reason! Here is the correct one.
 
I am curious….. Are the schools on this list the future mids 1st choice or have they already been granted accepts??

My son has not been accepted to Vanderbilt. Won't know until March. It's where the scholarship was placed by the Navy.

You can petition for a transfer to a school where you've been admitted. I think there's guidance on that in the paperwork you'll get soon (it may in an email you'll get sometime today or tomorrow). I've heard some units fill up quicker than others (Embry Riddle, San Diego maybe). Notre Dame? It sounds like you've been in touch with the unit there, but maybe send them an email and let them know you've been awarded a scholarship.
 
Can I ask when those who have been awarded scholarships already submitted their applications? My daughter submitted hers in late October and still hasn't heard. I am wondering if they have reviewed it and passed her to the next Board or if her applications hasn't been reviewed yet? She was disappointed not to hear good news today, but is hopeful that she will soon. Thank you.

my daughter submitted hers around the same time and she heard today it was awarded. Is she a tier 3?

My son submitted right before the mid October deadline, and just heard today that he was awarded a 4-year. So, looks like he likely went through two cycles (Oct., and Nov) before a decision was made. Hang in there - I know the wait can be brutal, but consider "no" news as "good" news, as she is still in the running. Best of luck!

Parent of 4c Midshipman (freshman) here. My daughter submitted application August 2022; had additional interview for possible ISR but heard nothing more; then after waiting for months (a few boards), finally got a scholarship email in mid-March 2023.
She was placed at her first-choice college, where she'd already been accepted as Early Decision.
(Her Plan B, if she hadn't received NROTC scholarship: use the college offer of financial aid, then participate as NROTC "program" to try for side-load scholarship to commission as Ensign when graduating 2027. Her Plan C involved OCS but I don't know much about that.)

When applicants get a scholarship, they communicate about their next steps with staff at the college unit/battalion they'll join. Parents may start to be "out of the loop," that's normal.

It's so stressful! Mine is Tier 3 which concerned me so I'm sure it will all work out for your daughter.
