Before I begin, I would like to say I hope all fellow appointees are enjoying the short time left before basic with their family and friends. As much as I am trying to enjoy my time, while prepping myself for BCT, I can't help but to feel pretty stressed about this 8th semester transcript. I want to make it clear that I am still trying my best to do well in school, but it just feels like this is the hardest part of the year. With AP exams approaching, my classes are harder than they have ever been. I still have about a month and a half left of school plus finals, so it feels like I have a lot of school left and I do not want to rush this time away because of my stress. My grades were never phenomenal throughout high school, I always maintained a high B average, and through the first 3 quarters of senior year my grades have been pretty consistent. If classes such as AP Biology, AP Literature, or C++ (those seem to be the most challenging this part of the year) were to drop a bit, how likely is it my appointment gets rescinded? I am not looking to get by with the bare minimum, I just want a piece of mind to relieve some stress. Also- I don't know if this is a factor with grades or not, but I have the principal nomination. My high school isn't used to sending out 8th semester grades to colleges (guidance told me they do only a handful every year) and since I-day is actually before my graduation I have to make a special request for my transcript to be sent early. My biggest fear is that I somehow get turned away at the last minute because of a low grade in AP bio or something. I guess I am just looking to be more educated on the whole eighth semester transcript thing, thanks in advance for any information!
Goodluck to all other appointees also on that home stretch of senior year!
