That us correct....once the march in ends and the doors close...it's over. So, if my parents just want to stay for I-day, they will be able to leave on July 1st and not miss anything?
What is PEP, and do some parents still stay for it?A few parents stuck around to watch PEP the next morning. Also, Fourth of July events in the DC area and fireworks over the Severn.
The earliest I would suggest parents leaving is I-Day +1. They need to stay for all the I-Day events. They especially don't want to miss the oath, their last hug until PPW, and the march into Bancroft. I-Day will end for them at around 20:00 and will be exhausting. Many parents will meet up at local pubs and visit with each other after leaving the Yard on I-Day. Rest that night, and travel the next day. That's what we did and it worked out well.
